Screening: Friday, 9/27 @ 10:00pm | Run Time: 9 min

Directed by Carrie Richer

Synopsis

A young woman perched in a lookout tower shifts between states of isolation and solitude. Inspired by historical records of Montana’s fire lookout towers, this portrait uses movement to explore time’s passage.

Director Statement

Dance films come in many flavors these days. I am not interested in the kind of work that documents choreography. I ground my work in character and place and those stories unfold through movement. Teasing the line between the short film genre and more traditional dance films is what I am most excited by.
