After an eighteen year career as a commercial producer serving brands like Nike, Alaska Airlines, Mercedes Benz, Kraft, the NBA, Microsoft, CocaCola and others, Rosenthal felt guided to listen more closely to what was keeping her awake at night. The climate crisis and other humanitarian issues led her to launch Project Winterland, a nonprofit rooted in climate solutions and equity. A fourth generation Montanan, Rosenthal returned to her deep roots in the Flathead to do purpose-fueled work to honor the natural world and bring amplified awareness to the urgent need to protect it. Anderson has served in leadership roles on numerous nonprofit committees and boards, with a focus on the environment and social justice, including the board of Common Ground, The PA Governing Board of Princeton Day School and The Princeton Arts Council.

Since 2020, she has been running Regeneration Pollination which hosts online networking events connecting people around the world engaged in regeneration and allied movements. She is also the Community Development Director of CommnityFinders, an online support network for those committed to living in intentional communities. Lauren has co-organized several Northern California Permaculture Convergences and Building Resilient Communities Convergences, and also co-founded a sustainable living and education center in Oakland called PLACE for Sustainable Living.
